The Orinoco banana is a variety that has adapted extremely well to the subtropical climate of Salobreña. It grows strong, produces abundantly, and gives us bananas of great quality.
Its flavour is more complex than standard commercial bananas — slightly fruity, with subtle savoury and mineral notes that make it really special.
For fresh eating, it’s important to let the bananas ripen properly. Not just when they turn yellow, but when they become truly soft. That’s when the starches transform into natural sugars and the flavour reaches its full potential.
